Aussie Millions

Its been a great trip overall. The first half of the month was taken up by the Aussie Millions. I arrived in Melbourne on the 8th of January, and went straight to work for pokernews the next day. During that time I was able to catch up with the same people I worked with during the WSOP and also meet some new ones.
During the tournament my days started off with a 30-40min. tram ride from the suburbs to the city. Then a 10 minute walk from the tram station to the Crown Casino. From there it was usually 12hrs of watching, writing and turning in hands to Change, and Pauly. My skills were a little rusty since the WSOP but after a few hours it was no problem. A few nights Pauly and Change treated me to some pints of Carlton at the Vegas bar.
The final table of the 100k event was probably the highlight of the Aussie Millions for me. The final table was hand for hand so it was pretty intense. While standing with my note pad behind Howard Lederer playing heads up for 1.5 million, I took everything in. Being in a foreign country, watching my good buddy Slippers deal the final table, Pauly and Change hard at work posting every hand, all the railbirds. As I stared at all that cash on the table 2 feet away from me, I wondered how the hell did I end up in Australia doing this? ...................Before I could figure it out next hand.......Anyway Lederer ended up taking it down, which was cool to be a part of.
The night was finished off with Carlton Drought at the Vegas bar. The main event was a breeze and the nights were all a blurr. I'll be making random posts as remember them.
